Discover the truly macabre history and paranormal occurrences in the Borough of West Chester by the tenebrous moonlight. Your Guide will recant disturbing facts and folklore of actual events and Spirits that took place and still Haunt our little Hamlet.
Spirits Haunting Spirits:
21+ Ghostly expedition of the Rathskellers of the Borough. An hour and half Lantern Lit Guided Tour of the Truly Haunted Pubs of
West Chester. Tours every half
hour. Stay and investigate yourself and join the next tour coming through if you'd like or stay with your group... safety in numbers!
Escape the Zombie Apocalypse: Keep your head about you while it seems everyone in the Borough is losing theirs. Travel our different outdoor Escape Room stations while the town Zombies stalk you. Finish in a timely manner or join the world of flesh eaters!
SPIRITS of '77:
A campfire rendition on the grounds of a local farm where the Battle of Brandywine was fought and Patriots still lay where they died. Hear historical facts and haunts by the warmth of a campfire.
Dear Ole' Miss Bruster:
An outdoor Murder Mystery with live Actors. Can you solve it? Who would have ever thought that sweet, little old Ms. Bruster was coveting all that wealth. Well it seems it wasn't a secret to all of us!
Come Out, Come Out...Borough Ever You Are:
Your chance to become a real life "Ghostbuster." We've got all the professional tools you need if you've got the guts! Our Professional Ghost Hunter will be your guide. 2 nights only (Saturdays Oct 16th/30th). Sign up now before limited tickets are a Ghost! Finders Keepers!
Dressing in Costume is encouraged with prizes given out nightly for "Best Costume" and "Best Group".

"When would you suggest I make a reservation?"
- Simple answer...ASAP! can make any rescheduling changes up to 24 hours before your event. We expect all time slots to fully fill up (FYI: Halloween is on a Sunday this year), Halloween weekend will sell out early. Even if you are not sure of your exact date/time...make a reservation and adjust it at a later date.-
"I do not have Gmail/Google on my phone/computer and when I go to sign up for my event I am unable to unless I open a Gmail account? Is there a work-around?"
-No worries. At the bottom of our Sleuthound.com website there is a button that says "send message" Click on that. Under "How can we help," please enter:
1. Event
2. Date/Time of Event
3. # in group
4. Venmo account username.-
"How scary are your events? Is it ok to bring our children with us?"
- Don't get us wrong...you will more than likely be sleeping with the lights on the night of your event! However, when was the last time you were able to enjoy an event with your teenage children? For those with younger children we would suggest scheduling an earlier time slot and notifying us of the age of your children and we will adjust our storylines accordingly.-
"What if we get hungry/thirsty during our event?"
-Have no fear... wait that doesn't sound right! We mean, you will be covered. In addition to the culinary delights in the Borough, Sleuthound will be providing free water bottles and local businesses will be supplying you with food samples, cookies, apple cider, Halloween treats, etc., along your path.-
"What is your policy on inclement weather?"
-Our patrons satisfaction is our top priority. We will be moving outdoors and indoors throughout the Borough during the event. In case of inclement weather we can move the majority of the haunt indoors. Our cancellation policy states that all sales are final 24 hours prior to the event, however, we will work with you to reschedule first and then give you a full refund if a date and time cannot be agreed .-
"How can I make a payment?"
- All payments are accepted through Venmo, we will Venmo request you after you input your username on our sign-up sheet. Venmo is a secure company owned by PayPal
Did you know?
A 1844 ordinance prohibited burials in the center of town—Matlack to New Street, and Barnard to Chestnut Street--and encouraged all prior burial plots defined within these boundaries be exhumed and reburied outside of the Borough leading to many "misplaced souls." Many familiar, present day, local buildings/houses were placed directly over these burial plots!
